Scarborough General Hospital, free parking, Google Maps, labels by Don Tai
Yes, you can, of course, park your car in the hospital parking lot. The cost is $5CAD for 30 mins to a max of $17CAD for 24 hrs. However, if you don’t mind walking a little, a mere 500m or so, there is free on-street parking very close by.
Free on-street parking here in Toronto is limited to 3 hrs in the same spot, but most often the parking police do not notice. If you see a chalk mark on your tire, then a parking officer is timing your car.
Scarborough General is on the corner of McCowan Ave and Lawrence, but the hospital entrance is west of this a very busy intersection. I do not advise crossing between lights, or you might/will get run over. While there are a couple of side streets in front of the hospital, they are only usually accessible if you are going east-bound. The traffic is quite heavy going west-bound.
As the entrance to the hospital is west of the intersection, the best place to park is on Barrymore Rd, the first traffic light west of McCowan. It is easy to turn onto this road due to the traffic light. Around 200m south on this road you will see the “No Parking” signs disappear, meaning you can park for 3 hrs for free. The street is also not very busy. The walk is about 500m, or 10 minutes.
You may drop off a patient at the hospital entrance because they have a circular driveway.

Scarborough Grace Hospital parking costs the same as Scarborough General, but there is free parking just south of the hospital, a mere 250m south. Paid parking is at the Emergency Department entrance at the north side of the building.
