Akismet, by default, deletes spam after 15 days. This may be fine most people, but I use my spam to control and deny new bots from my site. I cannot use this input when Akismet simply deletes it after the default 15 days. I often times am busier than that.

You can change the number of days Akismet should keep spam comments in your database. Simply add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin.

Sometimes certain things “outgrow” their welcome. This was true for the Google Play Store. When the Google Play Store automatically updates itself and take up precious internal memory, uncontrollably loading updates is also a waste of bandwidth and battery power, even when you’ve told it many times to stop, you wonder who is in charge of your phone. That answer, is decidedly Google. Yes, Google is in full command of your phone, and for the average non-tech person there’s not a damn thing you can do about it. I’m going to even the score here, for all the tech people out there.
Upgrades to WordPress are important to keep hackers from destroying your site and your index status on Google Search. After upgrading to WordPress 3.5 there were some preexisting files that should also be deleted. These now unused files can be hijacked by hackers to damage your site. It is best to delete or move these files from your WP directories.
