As usual, this one caught me totally by surprise and was unprovoked. I paid my token and entered Eglinton subway station. I was about to make the left turn to walk down to the subway tracks when CWM purposely extended his elbow out to hit me in the shoulder. He did not turn back. Unexpected as usual, a car coming out of the Church parking lot on Channel 9 Drive cut me off, really badly. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting it. His license plate was Ontario “Mr X Man”, called me a chink and threatened to rape my daughter, who was in the car. We came really close to crashing. He invited me to step out of the car and settle things with a fight. My hope is that karma will catch up to this idiot. Aug 03 2012.
Riding my bike on Markham Road, at the speed limit, minding my own business, 3 lanes in each direction, when a black American sports car lane splits between my bike and the curb. I was in the curb lane, left tire track. There was very little to no traffic, clear weather, and no vehicles in the other two lanes. When I stopped to ask why he did this he says I did not signal, but I had not changed lanes for the last kilometer. Young white guy 20-30 yo. Unbelievable. Oct 10 2012
Parked at Markam Chinese store, backed in. Came back, black SUV next to me parked right on the line. Opened door but had to bump on their door to get into my car. Black girl in car opens door and purposely bumps my side mirror. Words spoken. Threats from her to call people. umbelievable. June 26 2016
At NoFrills, buying groceries early 07:40, trying to reduce exposure during the corona virus pandemic, when blocked in the aisle by a worker’s cart. I try to push it forward, then the worker approaches from behind, telling me I cannot go through. I shake my head, he says “Don’t shake your head at me..” three times. Why did this happen? All for nothing. I just wanted to go down the shopping aisle. 2020 May 19
At Nofrills, buying groceries, 08:05. Saw a cart on the ground, so I picked it up, rolled it into the store. It rolled well, no problems. At the entrance some random guy stops me, tells me the cart is broken and does not allow me to enter the store. He has no ID, I don’t know who he is. A NoFrills worker tells me to get another cart. Ok, I don’t want any trouble, but very odd. Guy was larger than I, had a metal ratchet in his hand. I was threatened. Coming out there was a large van in the parking lot, I think the guy was fixing carts, but really, no customer manners, no ID. I did not know his intent. This is not the type of service I appreciate at any store. 2021 Mar 04
At the gym, few people. One new guy that was working out loudly grunts at every rep. He obviously does not know what he is doing, as he is going from station to station, but not cleaning up after. I tell him that he needs to clean up, but he refuses. After getting the manager he is still not convinced. In front of her he threatens me, his face to mine not 10cm, chest to chest, “You want a piece of me”. As he was taller, with arms outstretched he was actually blocking my view with his arm. I thought I was in some movie set. I did not move nor back down. This guy had anger issues. She pulled us apart and we finished the workout not talking. I filed a written report to the gym manager. 2021 Sept 15
At the gym, there’s a mask rule. Masks all the time, no mask removal for drinking water. This new guy is at the bench beside me. I tell him “Excuse me, you need to wear a mask”. He starts a swearing tirade that does not stop until I leave. I call the worker there and she tells him, but he continues. He’s very aggro but not strong. Lots of mouth. Disturbing to have an anti-masker at the gym. I’m only there to work out, not encounter social issues. 2022 Jan 03.
