The march of time stops for no one, rich or poor, for whomever. While humans may be able to mitigate their demise with a bit of compassion, there is none for old phones. Android phones grow old, older than 2 years old, slow down, and then get pitched into the back drawer, replaced by a new Android model, never to be turned on again.
After a long while your htaccess might get a tad long. My favourite htaccess checker only processes files up to 5,000 lines. Often this is due to lots of comments, which I encourage. Let us cover some ways you can shorten your htaccess:
Combine your user agents/referrers
If you have multiple user agent or referrers that have similar names, combine them into a single statement,
from:

Bought yesterday, I did, a Starfrit Spiralizer. Since Little Weed wanted to see how it worked his first choice, of course, was french fries.
Spiralized white potato was really simple to do. It looks but does not taste like pasta spaghetti. Photo by Don Tai, Toronto, Canada
I used the smallest shoestring blade, the spaghetti size, which turned out to be too small. Potatoes need a larger sized tube. It took only 8 minutes in my deep fryer but came out acceptably. There are shoestring french fry recipies out there that are baked rather than deep fried. I’ll try that next.
LGL leather shoes, model 369-3, oxblood leather and elastic. Right view. Toronto, Canada Photo 1 by Don Tai
Bought these shoes used, I did, because they are really funky and fun. After I bought them home I tried to identify them and, even with the power of the internet, could not. The logo on the inside bottom of the shoes looks like “LGL”, “or a wierd “IGI”. They are oxblood coloured with multi-coloured elastic in between the strips of leather. Distinctive they are, but still I cannot identify them. If you know the maker of these shoes please leave me a message. Thanks.
These purple lilies 百合 faithfully come up every year. They are beautiful but very delicate. Any little wind and the petals flop over like silly dog ears. Vibrant colours shine in the sun. They only last for about 7 days.

The Moyu Cube Stand has some clever design, and it looks really good as well. The stand came with the WeiLong GTS cube. photo 1 by Don Tai
Bought, Little Weed did, yet another cube. This was because the new cube had great reviews from a reputable company, and was supposed to be fast. He was not disappointed. The new cube, a Weilong GTS from MoYu, came with 2 plastic cube stands, convenient for displaying the cube. Or are they really just cube stands?
Briggs and Stratton lawnmower carb clean was pretty easy, but messy. The carb is easy to maintain.
Not is he, diligent at dumping his gas after last summer’s end, so it was no surprise when his lawnmower would not start this spring. As the grass was getting to the 1 foot mark, there was some urgency to get it going. Alas, no amount of pulling would start the mower. The carb must be cleaned.
Empty the lawn mower of all gas. Keep the gas in a proper container, as you’ll need it later. Remove the air cleaner cover and air cleaner, one bolt, Philips head.
Maps, I do like. Not only are they pretty, they are pretty useful, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. Map and compass in hand, you can walk at your leisure and not get lost, or at least be able to get help from the locals when you do. But which maps are the best for China? I thought I’d do a map slugfest, comparing Google (line and satellite), 360, Sougou and Baidu. I chose 150 meters of Shandong, Changdao on Jiefang (Liberation) Road as an example.
My LG Optimus Net P690 is a small 3.2" 500 mb ram smartphone, which runs much better without bloatware, Google Play Store and the Google suite.
Sometimes certain things “outgrow” their welcome. This was true for the Google Play Store. When the Google Play Store automatically updates itself and take up precious internal memory, uncontrollably loading updates is also a waste of bandwidth and battery power, even when you’ve told it many times to stop, you wonder who is in charge of your phone. That answer, is decidedly Google. Yes, Google is in full command of your phone, and for the average non-tech person there’s not a damn thing you can do about it. I’m going to even the score here, for all the tech people out there.
