Jeld-Wen Patio Door: Install, Comments and not Recommended

This Sunview Victorian patio door came branded as a Jeld-Wen door, bought at Home Depot in Canada. It came with no instructions nor hardware from Home Depot. Further Jeld -Wen customer service refused to send us the mounting hardware.

My neighbour recently bought a patio door from Home Depot, and had asked me to help him install it. In fact, this Jeld-Wen patio door was the most expensive they carried. I would not have bought this without a good amount of research, but he is different. The install did not go very smoothly, and the end result was sub-par. After contacting the manufacturer I was left with a negative view of the company and their service. I do not recommend you buy a Jeld-Wen door.

I bought this from a local MEC store (new packaging, same product name) here in Toronto for a seam repair on two Goretex jackets, where the seam tape’s adhesive had failed and the seam tape was hanging loose. After reading the instructions it was clear that they were not very good.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, is leading this privacy issue. He is trying to decentralize content so that users house the content separate from commercial apps. Links are provided to the owner’s content so the commercial app can be displayed. Content is controlled by the content owner, a marked change from today.

Today I signed up for a POD from inrupt. There is not much documentation on it, making it difficult to use. I thought that I would write what I have discovered through trial and error.

Dead it was, our dryer, a Viking Auto Dryer, from the T. Eaton Company, circa 1995, model number EDX22RW1181, front load, Toronto, Canada, hopelessly turning and turning, all without heat. Of course our clothes were not dry after an hour. Wife was not impressed and put the dryer at the top of my “to do” list. A solution was required before the next weekend load. Nothing stops for laundry or cooking.

Minor Upgrade to my Drupal Install: Sept 2012

Procrastinate I did, and for a long time, but I bit the bullet today and upgraded my Drupal install. I had known that this was required a long time ago, as I had a suspicion that bots were attacking it. I do hate bots that attack me. It went well, all without drama. It was a minor upgrade.
