Gazelle G5 Gazebo
The Gazelle G5 Gazebo is very quick to set up. The sides and top pop out very conveniently. Stake the tent down and you’re all set. The tent weights about 30lb, so carrying it is a little heavy.
G5 Dimensions:
-panels: 64″x64″. The tent mesh can let in sunlight and make the tent quite hot. You can buy a 3 pack of panels for $40CAD, but as the G5 has 5 sides, you will be missing one side.
-folded tent length 62.5″. This is quite long, so take a measurement of your vehicle.
-custom tent pole guylines: 375cm of rope, one end a Norwegian bowline, other end an adjustable knot
-weight of 30lbs seems ok, but this thing is 62.5″ long, over 5′, and it is awkward to carry. I’m looking for some wheels to move this.
Instead I’ve tried to use a 6’x8′ tarp, with carabiners on the 6′ ends, which clip to the corners. This has worked out reasonably well, but it is not a perfect fit. Tent poles can be anything that can stick through the tarp grommets. Attach the bowline to the top of pole, and the adjustable knot goes to the stake.
