No Arch Bang 32 Bit Support, Forum Registration is Terrible

Sometimes you just have to give up, and I have for Arch Bang. I have an old desktop that was looking for a new OS, so I researched and found Arch Bang, a Linux variant. After downloading the iso and trying to install it says that I need a 64 bit machine. In fact, they dropped 32 bit support this year. Nothing on their download page says this. As I search on Google I also try to register to their forum. They require a registration code, located on their forum. I cannot find this anywhere, therefore I cannot register. Sometimes you have to just admit that they do not want you in their club.

Clear writing is always a virtue, even for tech people. IT people have a nasty habit of writing in such a cryptic way such that non-tech people cannot understand. It is unusual that this time, even I do not understand. I can only hope that Arch Bang will improve in the future, just not with my help.

Arch Bang no longer supports 32 bit machines
This means that as of 2017 Feb if you have an old 32 bit machine you will not run Arch Bang.

“The decision means the February ISO will be the last that allows [installation of] 32-bit Arch Linux,” Piotrowski continued. The announcement goes on to say that i686 installs will continue to receive upgraded packages for a nine-month “deprecation period.” But starting November 2017, i686 will be effectively unsupported.

No thanks.

Arch Bang Forum Registration
I have joined many different IT and non-IT communities, and none have been as unfriendly as Arch Bang. In order to join the Arch Bang forum you need to register, which is common. The last registration question is to “Enter the registration code found in the forums”. After searching and Googling I could not find any such code.

Arch Bang forum requires a Registration Code in order to Register. I could not find any such code in their forum, therefore I could not join.

Here is someone else complaining about how difficult it is to register to the Arch Bang forum, along with a snarky answer from the Admin.

Why is registration to this forum made so goddamn difficult? Why isn’t the registration code on Archbang Wiki, or on the forum front page or something where it’s easy to be found?

I’d rather go to a more friendly distribution. If they cannot even do registration well then something major is quite wrong.
