Criminals should not get away with their crimes. G20 protesters and bystanders were treated badly by police, this is true. Still, those that smashed their way through Toronto need to be found and prosecuted. Please help police find and prosecute these criminals.

Just because our Charter of Rights and Freedoms were squashed by police during the Toronto G20 is not a reason for these criminals to go free. There is no “Get out of Jail Free” card here.

LOLs! It would be funny but I find it very disgusting. Police here in Toronto removed their badges so they could not be positively identified. Of all the numerous cases documented by the Canadian Civil Liberties Union (CCLU), only 2 officers have been charged. Their cases are before the courts. One officer was charged twice for beating up different people, and he is a parking authority cop.

The end result is that at the Toronto G20 the police did beat up peaceful protesters. They got away with this because they hide behind their uniform. The tactic of “Kettling” is not approved by our Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), yet the crowd control technique was used at the Toronto G20. Federal and Ontario provincial governments have resisted calls for a public inquiry, because they are both implicated in G20 overspending, passing a secret law that was not disclosed to the public and tolerance for police abuse.

Curiously we are in the midst of a federal election and there is very little time spent by any federal party on the disgraceful actions of the police here in Toronto during the G20. Canadians have a very short attention span. Or are stupider than I thought.
